Note: Before you learn the entire Form (all 31 movements), or if you only have time for a short session, you can do the Closing Form after Movements 5, 8, 14 or 20 (Opening and Closing Hands) indicated in Bold above.
Remember: Always include warm up and cool down exercises as part of your taiji programme. Movements 1 through 8 (Part 1 and Reverse Part 1) can be adapted to a sitting form and used as part of your warm up or cool down routine. This sitting form is also helpful if you are suffering back pain or find standing difficult. Always work within your own comfort zone. We are trying to reduce and manage pain, not endure more of it.
